How and Why Study Through Questions? To Truly Learn!
When it comes to achieving success in your studies, the strategy of studying through questions stands out as a highly effective approach. Let's explore why this practice is so valuable and how it can make all the difference in your academic journey, just as it did in mine!

1. Active Memory:
Studying through questions stimulates what is called "active memory." Instead of just reading or listening to information, you are actually engaging in the process of recalling and applying knowledge. This active engagement strengthens neural connections, making information retention much more efficient and long-lasting.

2. Improvement in Problem-Solving Skills:
Questions are like intellectual puzzles focused on clinical problems that challenge your ability to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to specific real-life situations. This type of practice sharpens your problem-solving skills quickly and effectively, a crucial competency in any field, especially in medicine.

3. Identifying Gaps in Knowledge:
By answering questions, you quickly notice the gaps in your knowledge. This is extremely valuable, as it directs your study efforts toward areas that truly need attention, maximizing your preparation time. In addition, instructors can build questions to expose you to the type of content within that broad area of knowledge that most needs your neuronal ATP!!

4. Building Mental Resilience:
Facing a series of challenging questions not only tests your knowledge but also builds mental resilience. The ability to stay focused and solve problems under pressure is an essential quality for any healthcare professional.

5. Simulating the Exam Environment:
Studying through questions creates a simulated exam environment. This practice is vital for reducing anxiety and increasing confidence when facing real tests. You get used to the pressure and gain familiarity with the format of the questions.

With this in mind, we also built an interactive question bank and study tool that is entirely our own: the RD Video qBank!

We envisioned giving our students all of these benefits encapsulated in a single platform. Here, we are not just talking about questions; we are talking about a complete approach to enhancing medical preparation from the basic-science cycle onward, applying everything directly in the clinic.

There are detailed explanations in videos for each question; in a bilingual manner, overcoming language barriers and exposing our students to the global language of medicine, which is English.

This tool is the largest and first of its kind in Brazil, created especially for those in the basic-science cycle or moving toward validating their degree in the United States.

Studying through questions is very important and, in our opinion, essential to medical training. If you have not yet included "solving questions" as part of your study routine, you need to revisit this concept right away!!

A big hug from the RD team.
