An ideal study schedule for Step 1 should contain a few essential elements, considering a study time of approximately 4 to 5 hours per day:
- Theoretical foundation (1h/day): Use video lectures or study guides that provide the information most frequently tested on the exam, which is fundamental to building a solid foundation of knowledge.
- Doing questions (2h/day): Applying theoretical knowledge to questions similar to those on the exam, focusing on learning from the explanations provided, is crucial for success on the exam.
- Memorization mechanisms, especially the use of flashcards (30 min - 1h/day): Use flashcards to reinforce the memorization of the most important and challenging concepts.
- Practice exams to practice techniques and exam timing: Take practice exams regularly to improve your test-taking techniques and adapt to the exam timing, which is essential for efficient performance.
